What is Acne?

Acne or Acne Vulgaris is a common human skin disease affecting the face and other areas of the body including the upper chest, shoulders, and back.

Acne is mainly associated with adolescence and puberty when young boys and girls go through "The first change of life". Acne can also occur during other times of one's life, even in adulthood. Most cases of acne diminish when people reach their early 20's.

Since acne can cause scarring of the skin, it is important to seek early and aggressive treatment  in order to lessen it's impact. There are many factors that may contribute to the cause and severity of Acne:

High levels of Stress
Dead skin cells
Bacteria
Skin irritations
Certain Medications
Chemicals and Diet
